“Re:Complete” is a series of 12 paintings made in my Los Angeles studio. Growing up around cars I came to love the checkered flag waved at the end of a race. The culmination of a million moments and decisions. The checkered flag is such a unversal symbol for completion. So, This collection is about endings. Endings in our lives that are both celebratory and sad. The pattern of our experience is shaped by our wins and losses. We overcome great odds to become who we are... and we all grieve and must remake ourselves complete again.
